NECTA CSEE Form Four Exam Results 2024, Matokeo ya Kidato Cha Nne 2024, The National Examinations Council of Tanzania administered the Form Four National Examination (CSEE) 2024/2025, Matokeo ya Form Four 2024.
NECTA is a government institution established by Law in 1973 with the responsibility of administering national examinations in Tanzania.
Before 1973, all national examinations were administered by the Curriculum and Examinations Section of the Ministry of Education after Mainland Tanzania had pulled out of the East African Examinations Council in 1971.
Certificate of Secondary Education Examination(CSEE)
This is an achievement test offered to candidates who have completed four years of secondary education.
The Examination Calendar
CSEE is administered in the first week of November every year.
The objectives of CSEE
The objectives of this examination are:
- to assess students’ skills and knowledge achieved in different subjects at secondary school;
- to determine the extent to which the students can use the skills gained to solve social, political, economic and technological challenges for their individual development and national development at large;
- to identify students with the capacity to proceed to the advanced secondary school level or join training institutions.
- A holder of CSEE is expected to be able to apply their knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation skills in a broad range of activities.
Eligibility of Candidates who Seat for the Examination
Any student who has completed four years of secondary education in both government and registered private schools and has passed the Form Two National Assessment is eligible to sit for this examination. Repeaters of the same examination registered as private candidates are also eligible.
Examined Subjects/Courses
There are seven core subjects that every CSEE candidate must sit for, which are:
- Civics,
- History,
- Geography,
- Kiswahili,
- English Language,
- Biology and
- Basic Mathematics.
Candidates may take other two additional subjects from the among given subjects at his/her school or study center.
Examination Formats
Each subject has an examination format which describes the structure of the examination paper, rubric and the content which its examination paper has to cover.
