FINE ART Form Two FTNA New Exam Format 2026 is the official format issued by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) for assessing Fine Art in the Form Two National Assessment (FTNA).
It is based on the Fine Art Syllabus for Ordinary Secondary Education (2005) and focuses on the competencies acquired by students in Forms One and Two. Major revisions include improvements to the assessment rubric and the inclusion of a table of specifications, while the assessment content remains unchanged.
This Fine Art format for the Form Two National Assessment is aligned with the Fine Art Syllabus for Ordinary Secondary Education 2023, issued by the Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE).
This Format focuses on the competences acquired by students at Form One and Two levels. The format emphasises a comprehensive evaluation of higher-order thinking skills and practical skills as highlighted in the current syllabus.
General Objectives
The assessment aims to determine the extent to which students can:
1. Acquire skills in drawing, painting, and designing.
2. Apply perspective in drawing.
3. Apply the elements of pictorial composition in painting.
4. Design posters using Roman and other script letters.
