EDK ELIMU YA DINI YA KIISLAMU FORM TWO FTNA NEW EXAM FORMAT 2026 PDF
EDK (Elimu ya Dini ya Kiislamu) Form Two FTNA New Exam Format 2026 PDF is the official format prepared by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) for assessing Islamic Religious Education at the Form Two National Assessment (FTNA) level.
It is based on the Elimu ya Dini ya Kiislamu Syllabus for Secondary Education (2012) and covers topics taught in Forms One and Two.
This Islamic Religious Education Format for Form Two Assessment (FTNA) has taken into account the competencies of Form One and Form Two in the subject outline issued by the Tanzania Education Institute (TET) in 2023.
This format changes the assessment perspective from a content-based to a competency-based perspective, emphasizing the testing of students’ higher-order thinking abilities and practical skills as emphasized in the existing outline.
General Objectives
The assessment aims to determine the extent to which students can:
1. Understand the Islamic perspective on education and religion.
2. Understand the Articles of Faith (Nguzo za Imani).
3. Understand the origin of Fiqh, worship, the Five Pillars of Islam, and good morals.
4. Understand the revelation and preservation of the Qur’an.
5. Read and interpret selected Surahs according to Tajwid rules.
6. Understand Sunnah, Hadith, and the teachings of selected Hadiths.
7. Demonstrate Islamic morals and ethical behaviour.
8. Understand the history of creation and humanity from the Islamic perspective.
9. Understand the history of Prophets and the revival of Islam by Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.).
