Sample Papers Standard Three National Assessment Exams 2025 PDF Zanzibar

The Zanzibar Examinations Council, starting in 2025, expects to conduct a national assessment for Standard Three students. This assessment is based on the implementation of the 2022 Preparatory and Foundation Education curriculum which has directed the conduct of proficiency assessments in various skills including Reading, Writing and Arithmetic Assessment (3Rs) in all Government and Private schools. The third grade assessment will be conducted in Reading, Writing and Arithmetic skills.

1. Stadi za Kusoma

The Reading Skills test will consist of one (1) paper with two (2) sections A and B and will be conducted for one (1) hour (1:00). For students with special needs, it will be for one (1) hour and fifteen (1:15) minutes. The student will be required to answer all questions from sections A and B. This test will carry a total of fifty (50) marks.

2. Stadi za Kuandika

The writing skills test will consist of one (1) paper with two (2) sections A and B and will be conducted for one (1) hour (1:00). For students with special needs, it will be for one (1) hour and fifteen (1:15) minutes. The student will be required to answer all questions from sections A and B. This test will carry a total of fifty (50) marks.

3. Reading Skill

This assessment will consist of one paper of one hour (1:00) duration and one hour and fifteen minutes (1:15) for the candidates with special needs. There will be two (2) questions in this paper. The candidate will be required to answer both questions. The paper will carry fifty (50) Marks.

4. Writing Skill

This assessment will consist of one paper of one hour (1:00) duration and one hour and fifteen minutes (1:15) for candidates with special needs. The paper will have two sections A and B and it will carry fifty (50) Marks.

5. KUHESABU (ARITHMETIC)

The numeracy test will have three (3) sections A, B and C and will be conducted for one and a half hours (1.30). For students with special needs, it will be for one hour and forty-five minutes (1:45).
This test will have a total of 10 questions worth a total of fifty (50) marks. The student will be required to answer all the questions.
