The Mwalimu Julius K. Nyerere University of Agriculture and Technology (MJNUAT) has released its 2026/2027 Fees Structure for undergraduate and diploma programmes. The fees consist of programme tuition fees and non-direct university charges. These fees apply to both new and continuing students, although some charges are payable only once during the first year.

Mwalimu Nyerere University of Agriculture and Technology (MNUAT) is a public university in Tanzania established by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania to honor the legacy of the late Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere, the country’s founding father and first President.

True to Mwalimu Nyerere’s vision of education as a foundation for empowerment, self-reliance, and rural transformation, MNUAT is strategically located in Butiama District, Mara Region, his birthplace spanning 573.5 acres approximately 38 kilometers from Musoma Town.

Payment Instructions

1. All University fees must be paid through a Government Electronic Payment (GEP) using Control Number (s) which will be generated by University Accountant upon your arrival at the University

2. Submit the bank slip/payment slip to the University Accountant to obtain an official receipt.

3. Do not deposit money for books, Field Practical Training and stationery or meals, into the University account.

4. Only students who have paid all required fees in full will be allowed to sit for examinations.

5. Students with NHIF coverage through parents/guardians must submit proof to be exempted from individual health insurance charges.

6. Sponsored students (HELSB or others) must submit proof of sponsorship and will still be required to pay Other Direct University Fees. If sponsorship does not cover the full amount, the student must cover the balance before registration.

7. Students MUST attend Field Practical Training outside the university at the end of Semester 2 of every year for 28 days. Therefore, parents or guardians are supposed to have a separate budget of about Tshs 300,000 as subsistence allowance to facilitate his/her child during the Field Practical Training.
