Aga Khan University (AKU) has published its official fee schedules for students in East Africa, including Tanzania. Fees vary by programme, campus, and student status (local or international), so there is no single tuition amount that applies to all students.

Bachelor of Studies in Arts and Sciences

NOTE:

1 Residential countries include Afghanistan, Burundi, Kenya, Pakistan, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda.

2 Candidates categorised as ‘non-residential’ are required to pay their dues in US dollars only.

3 Tuition fees may be paid in monthly instalments.

4 These charges will be deducted only if the student’s antibody test is negative showing no prior immunity.

5 All one-time fees must be paid at the time of admission.

Applicable taxes will be charged as per the Income Tax rules.

*For 2026, An additional amount of Rs. 17,000 / USD $74 will be charged for students living in the on- campus hostel as air-conditioning charges. In addition, students will be billed for actual utilization of the air conditioning.
