ZANZIBAR LIST OF COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES 2026/2027 BY TCU
According to the 2026/2027 Undergraduate Admission Guidebook published by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU), the Zanzibar region has the following TCU-recognized universities offering bachelor’s degree programmes.
Both universities are recognized by TCU and offer a variety of undergraduate degree programmes for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Other colleges in Zanzibar
In addition to the universities above, Zanzibar has several colleges offering certificate and diploma programmes, including:
- Teachers’ colleges
- Health and Allied Sciences colleges
- Technical and vocational colleges
- Business and tourism colleges
- Marine and fisheries training institutes
Most of these institutions are regulated by the National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET) or relevant Zanzibar authorities rather than TCU, so they are not included in the TCU undergraduate admission guidebook.
