Afya na Mazingira: A TIE book has been prepared based on the 2023 Curriculum and Outline for Early Childhood Education issued by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
In addition, this book is based on the combination of two books on Health Care and Environmental Care published
in 2018 based on the 2016 curriculum.
The aim of this book is to enable the child to build competence in taking care of health and the environment through the following learning activities:
1. Taking care of the body (Kutunza mwili);
2. Appreciating our food (Kuthamini vyakula vyetu);
3. Taking care of food utensils (Kutunza vyombo vya chakula);
4. Identifying objects in the environment (Kubaini vitu katika mazingira);
5. Cleaning the environment (Kusafisha mazingira);
6. Taking precautions against dangerous substances (Kuchukua tahadhari dhidi ya vitu hatarishi); and
7. Taking precautions against diseases (Kuchukua tahadhari dhidi ya magonjwa)..
