TAMISEMI Standard Two (Darasa la Pili) Assessment Exam May 2026
The TAMISEMI Standard Two (Darasa la Pili) Assessment Exam May 2026 is a school assessment examination prepared or coordinated under the supervision of the President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government, commonly known as TAMISEMI.
It is given to Standard Two pupils in Tanzania to evaluate their learning progress during the academic year, especially in basic subjects.
Main purposes of the exam
- Measure learning progress – to see how well pupils understand lessons taught in class.
- Prepare pupils for future national assessments – especially the Standard Four National Assessment (SFNA).
- Identify weak and strong areas – so teachers can improve teaching and help struggling learners.
- Improve education quality – by monitoring school performance across districts and regions.
- Build examination confidence – helping young learners become familiar with tests and classroom assessments.
