ABOUT PSLE EXAMINATION

This is a selection test which enables the government to select form one entrants for its schools. Students who get selected and those not selected receive certificates. PSLE is administered in the second week of September every year.

The Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) is one of the final assessment tools of Primary Education which, among other things, shows the level of competencies achieved by the candidates for seven years.

Also, this evaluation is done to measure academic progress and provide feedback to teachers, pupils and other stakeholders of education. In addition, the report aims to help stakeholders solve the challenges identified in the PSLE results in order to improve performance in the future examinations.

Social Studies and Vocational Skills CIRA PSLE 2024 Candidates Response Analysis Books

The National Examinations Council of Tanzania has prepared this report on the analysis of candidates’ item responses for the Primary School Leaving Examination.

The report is on Social Studies and Vocational Skills subject for the year 2024. This report aims at giving feedback to pupils, teachers, policy designers, curriculum developers and other education stakeholders.

The report also aims at evaluating the success of educational system especially in the teaching and learning process of Social Studies and Vocational Skills Subject.

Candidates’ responses is one of the indicators that shows how the educational system has been successively or not successfully in giving the candidate the expected knowledge and skills.
