Samia Scholarship 1000 Students With Qualifications to Apply 2026/2027. The Samia Scholarship is a Government of Tanzania scholarship programme administered through the Higher Education Students’ Loans Board (HESLB).
For the 2026/2027 academic year, eligible high-performing Tanzanian students may apply for scholarship support to pursue priority programmes in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), Natural Sciences, and Health Sciences.
The Samia Scholarship 2026/2027 is a fully funded Tanzanian government program for 1,000 top-performing Form Six graduates in science combinations, covering tuition, meals, accommodation, books, research, and health insurance. To qualify, you must be a Tanzanian citizen, excel in ACSEE 2026 science subjects, and gain admission into STEM or Health Sciences programs at accredited universities.
Key Eligibility Criteria
Who can apply? Applicants generally need to:
Citizenship: Must be Tanzanian.
Academic Performance: Outstanding results in ACSEE 2026 in science combinations (PCB, PCM, PGM, CBG, CBA, PMC, CBN).
University Admission: Must be admitted to a recognized Tanzanian institution in STEM or Health Sciences.
Application Platform: Apply via OLAMS (Online Loan Application and Management System).
Verification: Birth certificate verified by RITA/ZCSRA, valid National Identification Number (NIN), and active bank account in your name.
SAMIA SCHOLARSHIP FUNDING AREAS
The funding will be based on the Higher Education Student Loans Board standards and guidelines for funding the following areas:-
- Tuition Fees
- Food and Accommodation Allowance
- Books and Stationery Allowance
- Special Needs of Faculties
- Practical Training
- Research
- Assistive Devices for Students with Special Needs
- Health Insurance
SAMIA SCHOLARSHIP FUNDING PERIOD
For students who have received scholarships through this funding, to study undergraduate degrees, they will be funded for a period of between three (03) to five (05) years depending on the relevant program they have been admitted to.

- Select “Samia Scholarship.”
- Create or access your application account.
- Complete the online application form.
- Upload/provide the required information and supporting documents.
- Submit the application before the official deadline.
- Follow the application status through your SIPA/OLAMS account.
