About The Opportunity
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (WyEST) is announcing vacancies for the Diploma in Teaching in Pre-Primary and Primary Education.
The courses to be offered are the Diploma in Teaching in Pre-Primary, Primary and Special Education (02 Years) and the Special Diploma in Teaching in Primary Education (03 Years) in Science and Mathematics.
Applicants for the Diploma in Teaching in Pre-Primary and Special Education (02 Years) are Form Six graduates with First to Third Class (I-III) qualifications.
Applicants for the Special Diploma in Primary Education (03 Years) Teacher Training positions in Science and Mathematics are Form Four graduates with First to Third Class (I-III) results.
This training will be provided in Government and non-Government Teachers’ Colleges. The Ministry invites applications to join the Teacher Training in Government and non-Government Teachers’ Colleges based on the qualifications specified in this advertisement.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR JOINING TEACHER TRAINING 2025/2026
SIFA ZA KUJIUNGA NA MAFUNZO YA UALIMU, Qualifications for Joining Teacher Training College 2025/2026 (Sifa za Kujiunga na Chuo cha Ualimu)
a) Qualifications for admission to the Diploma in Teaching in Pre-Primary and Primary Education (02 Years) are:
(i) Form Six graduates with Grade I-III pass at the level of two (02) “Principal Passes”. In addition, for applicants who studied Economics, Commerce and Book Keeping, they should apply for the Diploma in Teaching in Pre-Primary Education course.
(ii) Teachers who have completed Teacher Training at the Certificate Level in Teaching in Pre-Primary or Primary Education. In addition, the selected training applicants will be placed in streams according to their performance in the National Teaching Examination at the Certificate Level in Teaching.
b) Qualifications for admission to the Special Diploma in Primary Education Teaching (03 Years) are Form Four graduates with Grade I-III pass at a grade of “C” or above in three subjects, two of which are:
- Basic Mathematics
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Information and Computer Studies or Computer Science

SPECIALIZED DEGREE IN PRIMARY EDUCATION TEACHING IN SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS (03 YEARS)
MODE OF APPLICATION
Procedure for Submitting Requests and Receiving Answers. The procedure for sending applications and receiving responses will be as follows:
(i) Form Four, Form Six graduates and Teachers who have completed the Diploma in Teaching in Primary and Primary Education, with the qualifications specified in this advertisement are allowed to apply;
(ii) Applicants for Teacher Training in Government Teachers Colleges are required to register and submit their applications electronically through the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology’s admission system (https://tcm.moe.go.tz/);
(iii) Applicants for the Diploma in Teaching in Primary and Primary Education (2 years) will select three (03) courses starting with the one they prefer;
(iv) Applicants for the Specialist Diploma in Teaching in Primary Education (3 years) will select three (03) specializations starting with the one they prefer;
SELECTION RESULTS
(v) Responses to those selected to join Teacher Training in Government Teachers’ Colleges will be provided on the system through the “Account” used by the applicant to apply for Teacher Training (starting from 20/07/2025) and at the selected Teachers’ Colleges;
(vi) Applicants for Teacher Training in Non-Government Colleges will send their applications to the relevant colleges. In addition, responses to those selected to join the Training will be provided by the selected Teachers’ Colleges; and,
(vii) Forms for joining the Training will be provided through the website of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (www.moe.go.tz) and the College to which the applicant will be assigned using his/her address. All applicants are advised to write a full address, email address and a telephone number available for further communication.
