Interpreting is the process of listening to spoken language in one language and immediately converting it into another language orally, while keeping the same meaning.

Field-specific interpreting is interpreting that takes place in a particular professional area (field), where special vocabulary and communication rules are used. The interpreter must understand both language and subject matter.
