MTGAP STANDARD FOUR OPENING EXAMINATION APRIL 2026
A Standard Four Opening Examination is a test given at the beginning of the school term or school year to pupils in Standard Four (Grade 4). Standard Four → Fourth year of primary school and Opening Examination → A test done when school opens
Purpose of Standard Four Opening Examination
This exam is used to:
- Check how much students remember from the previous class (Standard Three)
- Measure their starting level for the new term or year
- Help teachers plan lessons based on students’ abilities
- Identify students who may need extra support
