EP 101 Educational Psychology And School Learning
The importance of educational psychology as a field of study in the teaching and learning process is well recognized.
What is Reinforcement?
In Psychology, reinforcement is a technique used to shape and encourage certain behaviours in humans and other living creatures.
The process of reinforcement typically occurs over a prolonged period and aims to establish a clear understanding of what behaviour is considered “acceptable” and what is considered “unacceptable.”
Punishment vs Reinforcements.
This makes punishment quite different from reinforcement as all types of reinforcement intend to strengthen a behaviour while punishments intend to decrease or stop a behaviour completely.
