DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE HEAD OF DEPARTMENT
1. He/she shall be the head of all disciplinary board meetings.
2. To maintain the best disciplinary practices among all members of the school community during and after school hours.
3. To make sure that measures are taken for those who do not abide by the school rules.
4. To ensure that the culture of adorable discipline is practiced and promoted by all members of the school community including pupils, teachers and co-workers.
5. To communicate with the parents or guardians on matters concerning the discipline of their children.
6. To propose simple punishments for those who will violate the school rules.
7. To ensure that all the school properties are in good order and are properly used.
8. To prepare terminal and annual reports concerning disciplinary situation of the school and suggesting ways to promote discipline.
9. Performing any other duties as instructed by the Head teacher.
Discipline Teacher Duties and Responsibilities
Members of the disciplinary board
1. Head of department – Chairperson
2. All class teachers – Members
Note:
The disciplinary board shall sit after every three months.
During the meeting, any member can be chosen to be the secretary.
All discussions and suggestions during the meeting shall be minuted and recorded in form of a report. A report of which shall be sent to the school head teacher as well as the school manager/director.
