Read Full Details and Apply for Diploma HESLB Loan Application March Intake 2026:- The Higher Education Students’ Loans Board (HESLB) is a body corporate established under Act No.9 of 2004 (as amended in 2007, 2014 and 2016) with the objective of assisting needy and eligible Tanzania students to access loans and grants for higher education.
The main mandates of HESLB include:
To assist, on a loan basis, needy students who secure admission in accredited higher learning institutions, but who have no economic power to pay for the costs of their education.
To collect due loans from loan beneficiaries and use it as a revolving fund to sustain operations of the Board.
To create synergies through establishing strategic partnerships in the student financing ecosystem.
Our Vision
To become a reliable and sustainable tertiary education students financier in Tanzania.
Our Mission
To sustainably manage issuance of tertiary education loans and grants to eligible Tanzanian students and loans collection by embracing innovations, skilled workforce and synergies.
Opening of The Application Window for Diploma Loans March Intake HESLB 2026
We hereby inform diploma students admitted in March (March Intake) that the application window for diploma loans will be opened from 15/02/2026 to 15/03/2026 for students who meet the eligibility criteria for loans as outlined in the Diploma Students’ Loans Guidelines for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Students admitted to priority programmes are advised to take this opportunity to apply for loans after reviewing the eligibility requirements available in the guidelines, which can be accessed at www.heslb.go.tz.
