DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DEPUTY HEAD TEACHER
1. He/she shall be next to the school head teacher.
2. He/she shall be responsible to assist the head teacher in performing managerial and administrational duties.
Such duties may include but not limited to the following:
a) Helping the head teacher in managing the school.
b) Supervising the day to day activities of the school.
c) Making sure that the school timetable is followed properly.
d) Ensuring that the school’s properties are well kept.
3. He/she shall function as the school head teacher when the substantive head teacher is away.
4. He/she shall be the link between the teachers and the head teacher.
5. He/she shall be responsible in developing various initiatives that will help in marketing the school and attracting pupils.
6. He/she shall perform any other duties as assigned by the school head teacher.
