Arusha Region is one of the 26 Regions of Mainland Tanzania, with an area of 34,515.5 square kilometers. Administratively, the Region consists of 6 Districts and 7 Councils, 23 Divisions, 33 Wards, 393 Villages, 154 Subdistricts and 1471 Subdistricts.
The population is increasing by 2.7% per year and is estimated to reach a total of about 1,835,787 people, with women accounting for 51.5% and men for 48.5%.
Arusha Region borders Manyara Region to the South, Kilimanjaro Region to the East, Kenya to the North , and Simiyu and Mara Regions to the West .
Arusha Region is a tourist destination in Africa and is the hub of the northern Tanzania safari circuit. The national parks and nature reserves in this region include Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Arusha National Park, the Loliondo Game Controlled Area, and part of Lake Manyara National Park.
Remains of 600-year-old stone structures are found at Engaruka, just off the dirt road between Mto wa Mbu and Lake Natron. With a HDI of 0.721, Arusha is among the most developed regions of Tanzania being Tanzania’s top 3 most resourceful region

The National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET) is a corporate body established pursuant to NACTVET Act, Cap. 129, to coordinate and regulate the provision of technical and vocational education and training.
The Council regulates an efficient national qualifications system that will ensure that products from technical and vocational institutions are of high quality and respond to changing needs as well as technological innovations in the world.
