Abdulrahman Al-Sumait University is a private, accredited university located in Chukwani, Zanzibar, Tanzania. It was established in 2014 after the upgrading of the former University College of Education Zanzibar (UCEZ), which had operated since 1998.
The university is owned by Direct Aid, a Kuwait-based humanitarian organization, and is named in honor of the late Dr. Abdulrahman Hamoud Al-Sumait, a physician, philanthropist, and educator.
