BOOK KEEPING FORM TWO FTNA NEW EXAM FORMAT 2026 PDF
BOOK KEEPING Form Two FTNA New Exam Format 2026 is the official format issued by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) for assessing Book Keeping in the Form Two National Assessment (FTNA).
It is based on the Book Keeping Syllabus for Ordinary Secondary Schools (2016) and focuses on the competencies acquired by students in Forms One and Two. Changes in the revised format include improvements to the assessment rubric and the addition of a table of specifications, without changing the assessment content.
This Book Keeping format for the Form Two National Assessment is derived from the Book Keeping Syllabus for Ordinary Secondary Education 2023, issued by the Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE).
This Format focuses on the competences acquired by students at Form One and Two levels. The format emphasises a comprehensive evaluation of higher-order thinking skills, practical skills, as highlighted in the current syllabus.
General Objectives
The assessment aims to determine the extent to which students can:
1. Prepare and maintain accounting records of various business organizations.
2. Develop an understanding of business concepts and principles.
3. Develop problem-solving and computational skills and recognize the consequences of accounting errors.
4. Appreciate and use financial statements as a means of business communication.
