Kalenda ya Ufundishaji EDK na Exam Formats Form Five 2025/2026

All praise and thanks are due to Allah (S.W), the Lord of the worlds. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W), his family, his companions and all those who follow in his footsteps in making efforts to teach Islam in society.

We thank Allah (S.W) for enabling us to prepare and provide a calendar for the implementation of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum for Tanzanian secondary schools, Form Five, which will be a guide to teaching and learning in the classroom.

Main objective

The main objective of providing a calendar for the implementation of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum is to strengthen the teaching, learning and assessment process by bringing about uniformity in what is taught and assessed in all Secondary Schools in the country.

Specific objectives

The specific objectives of providing this calendar are the following:

(i) To enable teachers to complete teaching and assess students on time and accurately to enable them to acquire the intended competencies and succeed in their examinations.

(ii) To motivate and train teachers to assess their students by following the formats provided by the examination authorities.

(iii) To facilitate monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of teaching and learning in schools and to assess teacher performance in the implementation of the curriculum.

(iv) To help eliminate the challenges for some teachers to abandon or skip some competencies and activities in teaching and learning.

(v) Enabling examination authorities from school, ward, district and regional levels to organize examinations that are in line with what is taught in each academic semester based on formats prepared in accordance with the curriculum implementation calendar.
