THEY ARE PLACED IN THE APPEAL WINDOW
The Higher Education Student Loans Board (HESLB) today (Monday, December 01, 2025) announced the third round of loan and grant allocations for the academic year 2025/2026 with a total of 21,851 students .
This number includes loans allocated through the Appeal Window and new applicants continuing their studies as follows:
– 6,487 undergraduate students have been allocated loans through the referral window amounting to TZS. 21.5 billion .
– 2,611 undergraduate students have been allocated loans through regular applications amounting to TZS. 8.3 billion.
– 11,419 Continuing Education Students (FTCs) have been allocated loans for the first time worth TZS. 37.2 billion.
– 1,235 first-year diploma students have been allocated an amount of TZS. 3.2 billion
– 31 new ‘Samia Scholarship’ students have been allocated a grant of TZS. 5 billion
– 68 Postgraduate Degree students ( 53 Masters and 15 PhD) have been allocated TZS. 361.7 million .
The Board will continue to arrange loans for students who are continuing their studies and complete payments for students who have arrived at colleges.
