About the Opportunity
The Global Partnership for Education Teacher Support Programme (GPE – TSP) through the Office of the President, Regional Administration and Local Government (OR – TALIMISEMI) is implementing various interventions including coordinating the availability of Volunteer Teachers (engagement of volunteer teachers).
This project is advertising volunteer positions for 694 Primary School teachers who will work under Local Government Authorities in schools with the greatest need in accordance with the Primary Teacher Allocation protocol (P – TAP) which is set out in the GPE – TSP Project Document.
Therefore, graduates from Government-recognized Teacher Training Colleges are invited to apply to volunteer in various Primary Schools as specified in the ‘Online Teachers Application System (OTEAS)’ from May 17 – May 30, 2025. The available positions are for Certificate and Diploma graduates.

1. MODE OF APPLICATION
All qualified teachers should apply online through the link www.ajira.tamisemi.go.tz This advertisement concerns graduates of Teaching Courses from 2015 to 2023.
2. QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANTS
Teachers applying to volunteer in Primary Schools are required to have the following qualifications:
- Teacher Grade III A – Holder of a Certificate in Primary Education;
- Teacher Grade III B – Holder of a Diploma in Teaching in Early Childhood Education; and
- Teacher Grade III B – Holder of a Diploma in Teaching in Primary Education.
3.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR JOB APPLICANTS
(i) Must be a Tanzanian citizen;
(ii) Must not be more than 43 years of age;
(iii) Must attach a copy of:
- Birth Certificate
- Form Four Certificate or
- Form Six Certificate, and
- Teacher Training Certificate
(iv) Must be willing to work in Primary Schools with the greatest need for volunteer teachers in the surrounding areas;
(v) Must not be an employee of the Government or any other institution;
(vi) Must not have been dismissed or retired from the Public Service for service misconduct;
(vii) Must have a National Identification Number (NIDA);
(viii) Applicants must attach all necessary documents in the system; and
(ix) All applicants who studied Secondary Education abroad are required to obtain an Equivalent Number starting with the letters EQ… from the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA).
