Acting is the skill of imitating something.
It represents the reality of a person’s daily life in his or her environment.
Acting takes place before an audience to convey the intended message.
The performance that takes place during acting is called play.
Types of play
1. Words
2. Actions
3. Dance
4. Drama
A play can end happily or sadly.
An actor employs body movements, facial expressions, voice, the environment and imagination.
Acting involves four essentials
1. A performer, who is called an actor
2. A message, which is called a theme
3. A performing place, known as the stage
4. People who watch the performance, known as the audience.
To perform well, do enough vocal and acting practice before the actual performance.

Things to consider in acting
The following are the things to consider in acting:
1. Presence of characters;
2. Presence of an audience;
3. Presence of a stage;
4. Producing voice that can be heard well;
5. Showing gestures and body movements;
6. Using props and costumes properly;
7. Using make ups properly;
8. Managing the stage well; and
9. Sending the message correctly.

Living things use sound to communicate with each other and with their environment
