SIMIYU LIST OF COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES 2026/2027 BY TCU
According to the 2026/2027 Undergraduate Admission Guidebook published by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU), Simiyu Region does not have any TCU-recognized university or university college with a main campus located in the region.
Colleges in Simiyu Region
Although there are no TCU-recognized universities based in Simiyu, the region has several post-secondary institutions offering certificate and diploma programmes. These are mainly regulated by the National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET) or other professional bodies rather than TCU.
They include:
- Teachers’ colleges
- Health and Allied Sciences colleges
- Technical and vocational colleges
- Community development colleges
- Agricultural training institutes
These institutions are not included in the TCU university list because TCU is responsible for accrediting universities and coordinating bachelor’s degree admissions, while NACTVET regulates most certificate and diploma institutions.
