TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT-DUTIES&RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE HEAD OF DEPARTMENT

1. He/she shall head all meetings under transport department.

2. He/she shall ensure that the school’s transportation means (school bus/busses) are in good condition that will favor pupils’ wellbeing when transported to or from school. In case there is a need for maintenance, he/she shall report to the school head teacher after thorough discussion with the school bus driver.

3. He/she shall ensure that the school driver knows and abides by the school’s code of conduct and observes maximum discipline when conducting his/her duties.

4. He/she shall ensure that all the parents whose children use the school bus know the exact time they are supposed to take their children to picking stations and when they should go to pick them.

5. He/she shall ensure that the school bus driver conducts his activities on time without delay.

Transport Teacher Duties and Responsibilities

6. He/she shall be responsible in informing the parents in case of any inconveniences pertaining to transport services.

7. He/she shall be responsible to develop and propose different initiatives that will help in developing the school transport services.

8. He/she shall be responsible to prepare terminal reports concerning transport department.

9. He/she shall perform any other related duties as instructed by the head teacher or the academic teacher
