GE 141 Climatology All Modules
Climatology is the study of the long-term state of the atmosphere. The long-term state of the atmosphere is a function of a variety of interacting elements
- Solar radiation
- Air masses
- Pressure systems (and cyclone belts)
- Ocean Currents
- Topography
Elements of weather
Weather is the state of the Earth’s atmosphere recorded in short period of time say a day. The study of weather involves temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind, pressure, and cloudiness
- Temperature – measured by thermometer
- Humidity – measured by hygrometer
- Rainfall – measured by rain gauge
- Pressure – measured by barometer
- Wind – measured by anemometer and wind vane.
