Form Two Exams in Tanzania refer to the Form Two National Assessment (FTNA) — a major examination conducted by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA).
The Form Two National Assessment (FTNA) is a national examination given to students in Form Two (second year of secondary school). It evaluates how well students have understood the topics taught in Forms One and Two.
Objectives of Form Two National Assessment (FTNA)
- To measure students’ academic progress after two years of secondary education.
- To identify strengths and weaknesses in learning.
- To prepare students for the Form Four National Examinations (CSEE).
- To determine promotion to Form Three (though promotion is mainly decided by schools using NECTA results as guidance).
