Download PDF TIE & Books Form Two – All Subjects | TIE Books PDF for Secondary Schools Form Two, Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE) is a public institution within the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology with the main responsibility of interpreting the education policy in the country and putting it into curricula and programs of learning materials with the aim of providing quality education at all levels of education for primary schools, secondary schools and teacher training colleges.
TIE was established by law no. 13 of the year 1963 and called the Institute of Education as a unit within the Affiliated University of Dar es Salaam with the main responsibility of coordinating the work of providing teacher training in the Affiliated University of Dar es Salaam and the efforts of the Ministry of Education in improving teaching and learning in schools and teacher training colleges.
The basic functions of TIE are:
1. Designing and developing Curricula at the levels of primary education, primary education, secondary education and teacher training colleges
2. Provide training to trainee and in-service teachers to bring efficiency and better results to curriculum implementation.
3. Provide and review the quality assurance of education regarding teaching methods, learning objectives and standards of teaching and learning tools.
4. Providing expert advice to the government through the Ministry and education stakeholders aimed at improving education at various levels.
