Below are the key schedules for NECTA exams 2025:-
1. Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE)
This is offered to candidates who have completed two years of advanced level secondary education and have at least three credits in their CSEE. The exams commence May 5 and expected to end on May 20, 2025

2. Diploma in Secondary Education Examination (DSEE)
The Diploma in Secondary Education Examination (DSEE) is an exam conducted by NECTA in Tanzania, for students who have completed their Diploma in Secondary Education training for two years. The exams expected to begin on May 5 and come to and end on May 19, 2025.

3. Grade A Teachers Certificate Examination (GATCE)
The Grade A Teachers Certificate Examination (GATCE) is an exam conducted for candidates who have completed the Grade A Teacher Certificate program

4. Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE)
This is an achievement test offered to candidates who have completed four years of secondary education. The examinations starts on November 10 to November 28, 2025.

5. Form Two National Assessment FTNA
The Form Two National Assessment (FTNA) is a formative evaluation which intends to monitor students’ learning in order to provide feedback that teachers, students and other educational stakeholders can use to improve teaching and learning. NB: Exam timetable not yet released.

6. Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) (Darasa la Saba)
This is a selection test which enables the government to select form one entrants for its schools. Students who get selected and those not selected receive certificates.

7. Standard Four National Assessment SFNA (Darasa la Nne)
The Standard Four National Assessment (SFNA) is a formative evaluation which intends to monitor pupils’ learning. in order to provide feedback that teachers, students and other educational stakeholders can use to improve teaching and learning.
