About NECTA

NECTA is a government institution established by Law in 1973 with the responsibility of administering national examinations in Tanzania. Before 1973, all national examinations were administered by the Curriculum and Examinations Section of the Ministry of Education after Mainland Tanzania had pulled out of the East African Examinations Council in 1971

FORM SIX (ACSEE) EXAM

Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE): This is offered to candidates who have completed two years of advanced level secondary education and have at least three credits in their CSEE. The ACSEE is administered in the first week of May every year.

Eligibility for the Examination

This examination is for candidates who have completed two years of advanced level secondary education (Advanced level) and who had at least three credits in their CSEE.

The National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) has issued the Candidates’ Item Response Analysis (CIRA) report for the Advanced Certificate of Secondary
Education Examination (ACSEE) 2025 in all subjects.

These report books are prepared to inform the future candidates, teachers, parents and other stakeholders on the performance of the candidates who sat for this examination.
