JWTZ Overview
The history of security and defense work and activities in Tanzania began since the time of our ancestors. Many communities living in various areas of the country had traditional defense that involved every member of the community.
Traditional defense was the basis of the security of all communities at that time. The weapons used by our ancestors were poor such as bows, spears, sickles, swords and axes as basic weapons to protect their communities.
Each tribe had a way of preparing their youth to learn the use of weapons and later the youth were given the responsibility of protecting their communities.
Nafasi za kazi Jeshi la Ulinzi la Wananchi wa Tanzania (JWTZ) 2025
THE Tanzanian People’s Defense Force (TPDF) has announced recruitment opportunities for young Tanzanians with education ranging from secondary to higher education.
How to be enrolled in TPDF (Sifa za Kujiunga na Jeshi la Wananchi JWTZ)
JWTZ applicants qualifications, any person will be recruited to join the Tanzania People’s Defence Force (TPF) with the following qualifications: –
Eligibility Qualifications to Apply Nafasi za kazi JWTZ 2025
i. Be a Tanzanian citizen
ii. Must have a Form Four education and above and have passed
iii. Must have an original birth certificate, and school and professional certificates.
iv. Form Four and Form Six education should not exceed 24 years of age
v. Applicants with Diploma Education should not exceed 26 years of age
vi. Applicants with higher education should not exceed 27 years of age
vii. Applicants with medical doctors should not exceed 35 years of age
viii. Have good character and conduct (have good character and discipline)
ix. May you be of sound mind and good health (be in good health)
x. Must not have served in the Police Force, Prisons, Training Academy or Anti-Smuggling Force
xi. Must have completed the JKT National Building Force Training through a voluntary contract or in accordance with the law and been awarded a Certificate.
viii. Have not been convicted of criminal offenses in court and have been imprisoned.
Terms of Service
A soldier will be assigned a service number after successfully completing initial training. He will serve the Army for an initial period of six years, after which he will work on a two-year contract with the approval of the Chief of Staff.
Application Procedure (Utaratibu wa Kutuma Maombi Ajira JWTZ)
The application procedure for both groups is that all applications must be handwritten and submitted to the Army Headquarters in Dodoma from May 1, 2025 to May 14, 2025
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS DURING APPLICATION
i. A copy of the National Identity Card or NIDA number
ii. A copy of the Birth Certificate
iii. School and College certificates
iv. A copy of the JKT Certificate for applicants who have completed the volunteer contract
v. The Applicant’s Active mobile phone number to simplify communication.
NB: There is no chance of joining the Army by giving money. Whoever gives and receives money, the law is there and strict action will be taken against them.
Educational Requirements and Age Limitations For Nafasi za kazi JWTZ 2025
he age Limited depending to an educational level thus why the year required for ordinary educational level varies to the year required for applicants who hold the University educational level. The variations are varies as follows:-
1. Ordinary Educational Level (O-Level) and Advanced Secondary Education (A-Level): applicants with this educational requirements must not exceed 24 Years Old of Age.
2. Diploma Holder: The applicants interested must not Must not exceed 26 years of age.
3. Degree holders: Must not exceed 27 years of age.
4. Specialist Medical Doctors: Must not exceed 35 years of age.
