LOCATION

Murutunguru Teachers College is located in Ukerewe District, Mwanza Region. It is located 13 kilometers from Nansio town, which is the headquarters of Ukerewe district. You can get from Ukerewe to the college in the following ways:-

By car (bus) from Bunda to Nansio.
By ship from Mwanza to Nansio. There is daily transportation in both directions.

ACCOMMODATION EQUIPMENT

The college will provide you with a bed. Therefore, bring :-

Your own mattress two and a half (21/2) feet by six (6). For prospective students, there are a few to rent.
One (1) blanket.
Two (2) light blue sheets without embroidered flowers and their pillowcases.
One (1) pillow.
Bedspread (1)

FOOD EQUIPMENT

Bring :-

One (1) bowl
one (1) plate
one (1) cup
one (1) spoon

NB: These utensils should not be plastic!

OTHER EQUIPMENT

Bring one (1) bucket for your personal water use and a five (5) gallon jug for storing drinking water.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

To be registered and become a valid student, you must bring:-

Your original academic certificates, result slip or statement of results for completing secondary education at Form Six. (For those who have completed that level)
Grade A Teaching Certificate or Statement of results and/or result slip (For those who have completed Astashahada teaching training)
Your original Leaving certificate(s) for all levels of education you have completed.
Birth Certificate.
Doctor’s certificate to prove your health.
Health insurance card.
One (1) flat file for your records.
Original bank pay-in-slips and one copy for each donation and fee receipt. Fees will be paid after the college has provided a control number through the accounting office. DO NOT BRING CASH!
A valid NMB bank account number and card. Make sure the account name matches the names on your academic certificate(s) and not otherwise.
National ID issued by the National Identification Authority (NIDA) or National Identification Number (NIN).
One (1) ream of A4 Double A white paper for academic activities.

IMPORTANT: If you arrive at the university without your original academic certificates, Result slip or statement of results for secondary education, YOU WILL NOT BE ADMITTED or REGISTERED.
