This format is an improvement on the 2017 format issued by the Tanzania Examinations Council.
The format is based on the Swahili Subject Outline for Secondary Education issued in 2005.
The changes made to this format are improvements to the assessment structure and examination schedule.
In addition, there are no changes to the topics to be examined.
