Meaning of Geography
Geography is a subject that concerns humans and their environment.
Geography concerns:
- Earth
- Atmosphere
Objects on the surface of the earth, their distribution and how they relate to humans.
The surface of the earth has two main themes which are:
a) Continents
b) Oceans
Geography is focused on enabling humans to build basic skills that will enable them to understand their environment and relate to it in a sustainable way.
Meaning of environment
The environment is all the things that surround humans.
Humans themselves are part of the environment.
Types of environment
There are two main types of environment
a) Natural environment
b) Man-made environment
