MUST Entry Requirements & Qualification 2025/2026 – Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST) is a result the transformation of the Mbeya Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) through the Universities Act No.7 (2005) and Mbeya University of Science and Technology Charter, 2013. The Universities Act requires universities to draft charters and have them approved as a condition for providing university education.

In compliance with the requirements of the university Act, Mbeya University of Science and Technology has been established under Part II, Article 3(1) of the Mbeya University of Science and Technology Charter (2013)

MUST Entry Requirements Into Certificate Courses

Mbeya University of Science and Technology ( MUST) offers a diverse range of certificate programs designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in various fields.

To be eligible for admission to these programs, applicants must be a ordinary level secondary school graduate with possession of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination with a pass in at least four (4) non- Religious subjects. A ‘pass grade’ is any grade score equivalent to ‘D’ or higher.

Entry Requirements for Bachelor Degree Programs

To be accepted into various degree courses offered at Mbeya University of Science and Technology ( MUST), applicant must meet the following qualifications.

A. For applicants who completed A-levels before 2014:

A minimum of two principal passes with a total of 4 points from two subjects relevant to your chosen program is required (grading scale: A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1).

B. For applicants who completed A-levels in 2014 and 2015:

The minimum requirement is two C grade passes with a total score of 4 from two subjects relevant to your chosen program (grading scale: A=5, B+=4, B=3, C=2, D=1). Note: Grade D is not considered a principal pass in this category.

C. For applicants who completed A-levels from 2016 onwards:

Applicants must hold an ACSEE with a minimum of two principal passes and a total of 4.0 points from two subjects relevant to your chosen program (grading scale: A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1).
