Elimu ya Dini ya Kiislamu (EDK) TIE Book Form One 2025 PDF New Syllabus:- This TIE textbook, Elimu ya Dini ya Kiislamu for Secondary Schools, is written specifically for Form One Students in the United Republic of Tanzania.

The textbook is prepared in accordance with the 2023 Elimu ya Dini ya Kiislamu (EDK) Syllabus for Ordinary Secondary Education, Form I-IV, issued by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST).

It is a revised edition of Elimu ya Dini ya Kiislamu (EDK) for Secondary Schools Student’s Book for Form One that was published in 2021 in accordance with the 2005 syllabus issued by the then Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MoEVT).

The book consists of Seven chapters, namely:

1. Kutambua uwepo wa Allah (S.W)
2. Kusoma Qur’an kwa mazingatio
3. Kuishi kwa kuzingatia Sunnah ya Mtume Muhammad (S.A.W)
4. Kutekeleza nguzo za Uislamu
5. Kuchunga mipaka ya Allah (S.W)
6. Kutumia Qur’an na Sunnah kulingania jamii
7. Kutumia historia ya Uislamu kujenga mwenendo mwema wa jamii.

In addition, this book has been prepared based on methods to enable students to learn more by doing both in and out of the classroom. Thus, the content has been presented in the form of texts, assignments, illustrations and pictures to attract students to read it.

You are encouraged to do all the activities, tasks, projects and attempt all questions in the exercises. You are also required to prepare a portfolio for keeping records of activities performed in different lessons. Doing so will enable you to develop the intended competencies.
