ABOUT Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE)

The Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE) is a public institution established in 2005 through the Government Notice No. 202 published on 22nd July 2005.

The establishment of the College was a priority response by the Government of Tanzania to address the problem of acute shortage of graduate teachers and experts in the education sector that had resulted from the rapid expansion of school enrolment.

The expansion was due to the successes of the Primary Education Development Programme (PEDP) in 2002 – 2006 and the Secondary Education Development Programme (SEDP I) in 2004 – 2009, among other initiatives.

The College is located on Plot 324 and 325 Block ‘T’ Chang’ombe in Temeke Municipality, Dar es Salaam Region, adjacent to the new National Stadium and about 5 km from the City Centre via Kilwa Road.

The College consists of 52.97 acres of land. The College also owns an area of 1.17 hectares located on Plot No. 964/1 Block ‘V’ Mbagala. This strategic location of the College provides opportunities in different areas of investment due to its proximity to City centre.

How To check your DUCE application status

You need to follow these steps to view you application status:

Visit the official University or TCU admission website
Go to the ‘Login’ section on the home page of the college website.
Log in to your account that you used to apply to join University by entering your Username and Password to access your account.
Once you log into your account, you will be welcomed by a message informing you of your application status. If you have been selected, you will see a message saying “Congratulations, you have been selected to join University for the 2024-2025 academic year.”
If you have been selected by more than one university, you will see a message indicating that you have Multiple Admission; please confirm your admission. If you have not been selected, you will see a message informing you that you have not been selected and the reason for not being selected.

Candidates with multiple admissions are required to confirm their offers through their admission accounts.
Please request a CODE, then enter the CODE on the given slot, finally click CONFIRM.

How to Confirm for Candidates with multiple admissions

Login to your admission account using username and password in the admission system.
Then request a confirmation code through a link in your admission system.
You will receive a SPECIAL CODE sent to you via SMS or email.
Enter the SPECIAL CODE you received into your admission profile to complete your confirmation.
