Blooms Revised Taxonomy

  • Affective Domain
  • Psychomotor Domain

The affective domain includes the manner in which we deal with things emotionally such as feelings, values, appreciation, enthusiasms, motivations, and
attitudes.

The five major categories are listed from the simplest behavior to the most complex:

  • Receiving
  • Responding
  • Valuing
  • Organization
  • Internalizing values (characterization)

Six levels of the revised taxonomy

1. Remembering: Recalling facts, basic concepts, and answers.

2. Understanding: Explaining ideas or concepts and demonstrating comprehension.

3. Applying: Using information or a skill in a new situation.

4. Analyzing: Breaking down information into parts and understanding how they relate to each other.

5. Evaluating: Making judgments, defending opinions, and assessing the validity of information based on criteria.

6. Creating: Producing new or original work by combining elements in a new way.
