Ajira Mpya Uhamiaji New Job Vacancies Dec 2025
The Commissioner General of Immigration, under the authority granted to me under Regulation Number 11(1) of the Immigration Operational Regulations of 2018, announces new job openings for Immigration Constables for Tanzanian youth with the following qualifications:-
QUALIFICATIONS OF A CLERK
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen;
- Must be unemployed or have never been employed by any Government Institution;
- Must have a Birth Certificate;
- Must have a National Identification Card or an identification number issued by the National Identification Authority (NIDA);
- Must be in good physical and mental health;
- Must have never used drugs;
- Must not have any criminal record or be involved in criminal matters or incidents;
- Must not have any marks or tattoos on the body;
- Must be single, unmarried, and without children;
A candidate with a Secondary School Education (Form Four) should have qualifications ranging from Grade One (1) to Grade Three (3) and be aged between 18 and 22 years.
A candidate with a Diploma or Advanced Certificate should be aged between 18 and 25 years, and a candidate with a University Degree or Higher Diploma should be aged between 18 and 30 years.
They should be willing to attend initial Military Immigration training. They should be willing to work in the Immigration Department anywhere in Tanzania. They should be willing to bear their own costs at all stages of the recruitment and implementation process.
APPLICATIONS THAT WILL BE GIVEN PRIORITY:
Applications that will be given priority are those from applicants with qualifications at the Bachelor’s/Postgraduate level, Diploma, and Certificate from institutions recognized by the Government in the following fields: –
- International Languages,
- Administration
- Law
- Relations
- ICT (Cyber Security
- Database Developer
- System Developer
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning)
- Secretarial Studies
- Private Secretary
- Accounting
- Procurement and Supply registered with the Board
- Statistics
- Economics
- Electrical
- AC Technician
- Brass Band
- Psychology, and
- Printing.
Also, applicants with skills in Automotive Technology and Driving will be given priority.
HOW TO APPLY:
All job applications will be submitted through the Immigration Department website, which is https://www.immigration.go.tz, starting from December 29, 2025, and the deadline for submitting applications is January 11, 2026.
When applying, the applicant is required to attach (upload) the following documents in PDF format (each document should not exceed 300Kb);
- ✓ A recent passport-sized photo in jpg/png format not exceeding 300Kb for uploading to the system;
- ✓ A handwritten job application letter;
- ✓ An identification letter from the Government of the Local Area/Village or Shehia; for those in JKT/JKU Camps, they should have an identification letter from the Camp Commander;
- ✓ Birth certificate;
- ✓ Must have a National Identification (NIDA) card or NIDA number for registration in the system;
- ✓ Must have the index numbers of the Certificate of Secondary Education (CSEE) and Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (ACSEE) which will be entered into the employment system;
- ✓ Must have the identification number of the certificate for the level of Ordinary Diploma, Advanced Diploma, and Bachelor’s/Master’s degree recognized by the TCU or NACTVET, which will be entered into the employment system;
- ✓ Professional registration certificates for fields that require Board registration;
- ✓ Applicant’s resume (CV).

4. PRECAUTIONS
All applications will be received in the manner specified in section number 3 above and not otherwise;
Any applicant found submitting fraudulent documents will face legal action, including being brought to court;
