Academic Communication Teacher’s Guide TIE Book for Advanced Secondary Schools Form Five

This Teacherís Guide to Academic Communication for Advanced Secondary Schools has been written specifically for teachers of the Academic Communication subject for Form Five in the United Republic of Tanzania. This Guide has been prepared following the 2024 Academic Communication Studentís Book for Advanced Secondary Education Form V. It provides teachers with pedagogical skills for teaching the topics in the Academic Communication Studentís Book.

This guide consists of six chapters, namely Crafting Meaning, Effective writing, participating in oral presentation, Utilising ICT in academic communication, Making academic presentation and Using illustrations in academic communication. The book contains engaging activities and exercises, real-life examples and interactive activities that will help your student develop the four basic language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

In addition, the Guide will help you to guide students to acquire the intended competences in academic communication and communicate accurately and fluently in both oral and written forms with regard to context.
