The Prime Minister’s Office – Labour, Youth, Employment and Persons with Disabilities (PMO-LYED) can be traced back from the time when our country got independence in 1961. The Office of the Prime Minister, Labour, Youth Employment and the Disabled is implementing
A program to develop skills in the country that aims to empower the national workforce to acquire the knowledge and skills of a suitable job in order to compete in the labor market.
The office has entered into an agreement with 52 colleges that provide vocational training which are registered with the relevant Authority to provide training in the various field including the:
- Fashion and Tailoring,
- Crafts
- Plumbing
- Masonry
- Carpentry
- Welding and steelwork
- Painting and sign writing
- Cooking
- Mechanical parts manufacturing
- Automotive and Mechanical Engineering
- Domestic and industrial electricity
- Electricity of Automobiles
- Hotel and Tourism Services
- Mining and Metallurgy.
MODE OF APPLICATION
Applications should be submitted from January 30, 2025 to February 12, 2025 accompanied by the following documents:
1. Training Application letter;
2. Copy of Birth Certificate;
3. A copy of the certificate of education you have graduated;
4. Citizenship ID / voter's card (For those aged 18 and over)
5. Identification letter from the Local/Village Government Office where he lives.
6. Four passport photos (three names of the applicant should be written on back).

QUALIFICATIONS TO JOIN THE TRAINING
(SIFA ZA KUJIUNGA NA MAFUNZO)
1. Basic education or higher in the fields of fashion design and tailoring textiles, plumbing, construction, carpentry, welding and metalwork, Paiting and marking text;
2. Form Four education and continuing to other fields including the field of mechanical spare parts manufacturing, crafts cars, domestic and industrial electricity, car electricity and solar electricity;
3. Be a Tanzanian;
4. Be between the ages of 15 - 35; and
5. May he be healthy.
