The National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) was established under the Parliamentary Act No. 21 of 1973 with the responsibility of administering all National Examinations and Assessments in Tanzania.
The decision to establish NECTA was a follow-up of an earlier move in which Mainland Tanzania pulled out of the East African Examinations Council (EAEC) in 1971 in order to conduct her own examinations
The Tanzania Examinations Council would like to remind that the enrollment period for Pre-Primary and Standard One Pupils in 2025 as well as editing(proofing) the registration information for candidates 2025 has started for:
- Standard Two National Assessment (STNA),
- Standard Four National Assessment (SFNA)
- Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE)
The exercise of enrolling students as well as editing the information of candidates for the Examination classes (STNA, SFNA & PSLE) 2025 will be done by the Head of School.
NECTA: UTARATIBU WA KULIPA ADA YA MTIHANI
Payment must be made within the registration period using the 'control number' in accordance with the following instructions:
(a) Log in into the PReM system,
(b) Click on the Payments menu,
(c) Click the List menu,
(d) Choose a Class (Grade Four or Grade Seventh),
(e) Fill in the payer's name (relevant school), phone number (start with 0XXXXXXXXX), and email address if you have one.
(f) Click the Save menu to get the 'Control Number'
(g) If you want to print an 'Invoice/Bill', click print Invoice.
NOTE:
'Control number' should be prepared using the number of candidates who paid the relevant exam fee.
If there are more people after the initial 'control number' has been prepared, the Principal will prepare another 'control number' for the candidates who have increased in the order directed a - g so the school can have more than one 'control number'.
