Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE) is a public institution under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. 

The Institute is charged with the responsibility of interpreting government policies on education to befitting curriculum programmes and instructional materials in order to facilitate provision of quality education at pre- primary, primary, secondary and teacher education levels

The main functions of the Institute are:

1. Design and develop curricula for Pre- primary, Primary, Secondary, and Teacher Education levels.

2. Carry out in-service and Pre-service teachers for efficient and effective implementation of curricula.

3. Provide and oversee education quality assurance with regard to teaching methods, objectives and standard of teaching-learning materials.

4. Provide technical advice to the Government through the Ministry responsible for education and to other stakeholders with the ultimate objective of providing quality education at all levels.

STEPS TO REGISTER & LOG IN TO TIE ONLNE LIBRARY

 1. Search TIE Library Online 

2. Select USER Type such as Teacher, Student, Researcher or Education Stakeholder

3. Create Account Bye Entering Your:

i. First Name

ii. Surname

iii. Valid Email Address

iv. Select Gender or Sex

v. Select Age Category such as Kids, teens, young adults, middle aged adults.

vi. Select Region 

vii. Enter your Phone Number

viii. Choose User Name (That you will use to Log in)

ix. Enter then Re-Enter Your password that you won't forget

x. Click Register

4. After Log in you will find a TIE Interface that will Need You to:

i. Select educational level e.g. Primary, Ordinary Level or Advanced Level

ii. Select Content Category e.g. TIE Books, Literature Books or Kitabu cha Kiada

iii. Select Class e.g. Grade One, Grade Two, Form One, Form Two, Form Four etc.

iv. Select Subject E.g. English, Kiswahili, Civics etc. 

v. The TIE Book will appear then click it. It will open in a Flip Mode ready to use.
