NECTA is a government institution established by Law in 1973 with the responsibility of administering national examinations in Tanzania.
Before 1973, all national examinations were administered by the Curriculum and Examinations Section of the Ministry of Education after Mainland Tanzania had pulled out of the East African Examinations Council in 1971
REGISTRATION AND EDITION SCHEDULE
The Tanzania Examinations Council would like to remind that the enrollment period for Pre-Primary and Grade One Pupils in 2025 as well as editing the registration information for candidates for the Second Grade National Assessment (STNA), Fourth Grade (SFNA) and the Leaving Examination (PSLE) 2025 has started.
The exercise of enrolling students as well as editing the information of candidates for the Examination classes (STNA, SFNA & PSLE) 2025 will be done by the Head of School
I would like to provide the entire registration schedule including instructions regarding the registration of candidates for the year 2025 using the PReM system.
The work of admission Standard One and Preliminary as well as editing the information of candidates for Exam classes (STNA, SFNA & PSLE) will be done according to the schedule shown in the Table below.
