Agriculture Syllabus for Ordinary Secondary Education Form 1- 4
Agriculture is a compulsory subject for Form I-IV students in General Education pathway who choose to join Agriculture stream. It is also an elective subject to students on other streams.
The purpose of learning this subject is to enable the student to develop a suitable foundation in agricultural principles and production techniques and apply basic principles and husbandry practices in crop, animal and aquaculture production.
It is expected that the subject will act as a tool for promoting other agricultural skills related to problem solving, critical and creative thinking, collaboration and communication (21st Century skills), and thus develop student’s confidence to apply their agricultural skills and knowledge in various circumstances.
Studying this subject will also act as a catalyst for promoting agricultural development in the country, stimulating economic growth, and enhancing livelihoods and food security in the country.
